Rainbow Mental Health Support Experiences: A Community-Based Study

This survey about queer, trans, and intersex mental health support experiences in Aotearoa. This is part of a wider project aiming to understand and improve mental health services for rainbow community members.

Online OpportunitiesOpportunities for youth

This project is led by Gloria Fraser, a PhD student from Victoria University of Wellington’s Youth Wellbeing Study, in partnership with Gender Minorities Aotearoa, RainbowYOUTH, and InsideOUT. Gloria is supervised by Professor Marc Wilson and Dr Anita Brady. We are also collaborating with a range of other rainbow community organisations and healthcare providers.

This survey takes most people about 20 minutes to complete. If you don't have the time to fill out the whole survey now, you can leave partway through and come back to finish it within two weeks, by using the same device and browser.

Please take part if you:

  • Are queer, trans, intersex, takatāpui, nonbinary, LGBTQIA+, MVPFAFF, questioning, or otherwise part of the rainbow community
  • Have accessed mental health support in Aotearoa (this means talking face to face to a mental health professional - a psychologist, counsellor, psychiatrist, therapist, social worker, mental health nurse, etc - this doesn't include peer support groups like RainbowYOUTH groups)
  • Are aged 14 or above

Please forward this around your networks and share on Facebook here.
