Daniela Gonzalez-Bea

My name is Daniela. I was born in Chile and have called Aotearoa home since I was 13 years old. I am now 48 years young and based in Auckland City, where I offer both in-person and online sessions. My in-person practice is located in Auckland Central CBD, and I am also able to explore options for travelling on-site to organisations supporting teams who may benefit from group or staff supervision.

My work is woven across three main areas: individual sessions as a Clinical Arts Therapist, External Supervision, and group facilitation.

I am a registered External Supervisor with MANZASW, an accredited ACC Sensitive Claims Therapist, Registered Social Worker, Clinical Arts Therapist, and experienced group facilitator.

My practice is shaped by many years of working alongside diverse communities across Aotearoa, including Māori and Pacific communities, trauma-informed services, homelessness, addiction, mental health, youth services, and community-based organisations. This experience continues to inform my relational, creative, and culturally responsive approach to supporting individuals, practitioners, and teams.

My Approach

My supervision style is warm, relaxed, and relational. People often describe our time together as easy, conversational, and welcoming rather than highly formal or clinical. I believe that meaningful reflection happens when we feel safe enough to be ourselves.

While the atmosphere is casual and playful, I also hold the importance of supervision with care and robustness. Together, we create a reflective space where curiosity, ethical practice, accountability, and professional growth remain at the centre.

Grounded in the threads of Creative Arts and Expressive Therapies, I weave together conversation, mindfulness, grounding practices, metaphor, and expressive processes to support deeper reflection. I don't see myself as the expert with the answers; instead, supervision is a collaborative process that we co-create, drawing on your own knowledge, experience, and inner wisdom alongside my role as a reflective companion.
