Dolores (Dee) (Stanley) Siaopo

Kia ora, Kia Orana, Mālō 'aupito, Talofa lava, Bula Vinaka, Warm Pacific Greetings

I have worked in the Youth Health sector for over 12 years, spending many of those years on the ground as a School Nurse in South Auckland. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Youth Health Sciences and, for the past five years, have worked as a Nurse Educator, supporting kaimahi working in secondary school-based health services.

I have completed training in Professional Supervision and Bicultural Supervision, which has strengthened my passion for supporting those who work alongside rangatahi and whānau.

My Approach

My approach is grounded in mana-enhancing, culturally responsive, strengths-based and reflective practice, honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and recognising the different experiences, values and cultural identities we bring to our mahi.

Coming from a Pacific background, I value the importance of culture, identity, relationships and collective wellbeing. I value whakawhanaungatanga and believe supervision should be a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where we can reflect openly, celebrate successes, navigate challenges and grow together.

Having worked on the frontline, I understand the complexities and emotional demands of working with young people. I believe supervision is not just about professional development, but also about supporting our own wellbeing as kaimahi.

I understand that everyone has different commitments and ways of connecting. I offer flexible supervision options, including face-to-face, virtual sessions and phone calls, to make supervision accessible and work around your needs and availability.

For me, supervision is about walking alongside you, creating space to reflect, recognising your strengths and supporting you to grow in the important mahi you do with rangatahi and whānau.
