I am a qualified and registered social worker with over 15 years of frontline experience across both statutory and community settings. My practice has spanned a range of roles, including direct social work, leadership, and advisory positions, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the complexities within the sector. I am currently practicing and continue to work closely alongside social workers, which ensures my knowledge remains current, grounded, and relevant to today’s practice environment.
I am registered with the Social Workers Registration Board and bring a strong commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and child-centred practice. As a Pacific practitioner, I value relational approaches and am confident in engaging with diverse cultures, worldviews, and communities. I bring both professional expertise and cultural understanding into my work, supporting practitioners to navigate complexity with confidence and integrity.
My Approach
My approach to supervision is reflective, strengths-based, and practice-focused. I aim to create a safe and trusting space where social workers can think critically about their work, explore challenges openly, and build clarity in their decision-making. Supervision with me is both supportive and appropriately challenging — encouraging growth, accountability, and professional confidence.
I draw on real-world practice experience to support practitioners in navigating risk, ethical dilemmas, workload pressures, and system complexities. I place strong emphasis on reflective practice, cultural responsiveness, and maintaining alignment with professional standards. Ultimately, my goal is to empower social workers to feel equipped, supported, and confident in delivering high-quality care to tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau.
