I have been working with rangatahi and their whānau in various role for government and non-government over the past 20 years.

I challenged myself as a pakeha to work in kaupapa māori services early on in my career to develop my practice as a Social Worker when working with rangatahi and whānau.

I work as a Family Therapist alongside doing external supervision for Youth Workers and Social Workers.

Previous roles have included - 

Youth Worker - Addictions, mild to medium mental, prevention and youth groups

Oranga Tamariki - Care and Protection and Youth Justice

NZ Police - early prevention role 10-13yrs 

Residential Care - Youth Justice - Secure and community
