Leah Rothman
Kia ora rā e hoa,
I've been part of the youth development sector for over twenty years, working across Youth One Stop Shops and social work, mental health, peer support, drug and alcohol harm reduction, sexual and reproductive health and rights, sexual and domestic violence prevention, and international Pacific development.
I know what it is like to carry a full caseload, want the best for the people in front of you and still manage your own growth and expectations. Supervision with me includes real conversations about sustaining that passion without tipping into burnout.
My Approach
I like supervision to feel like a deep conversation. My style is goals-based but responsive, we'll work toward what matters to you, while leaving room to follow what comes up on the day. I lean on reflective practice because I think that's where growth happens, I bring a strengths-based, people-centred lens to everything we talk through. I hold a trauma-informed and survivor-informed understanding close, so there's room for the harder conversations too, not just the easy ones.
Whether it's one-on-one or in a group, my aim is simple: a space that is safe and useful, so you leave with something you can actually use.
