Melesina Umeano

Fakalofa lahi atu My name is Melesina Betsy Umeano. I hail from the Rock of Polynesia, Niue Island. I am married to a man of God from Nigeria, mother to 3 adult children 23 years and over and 2 young children under the age of 8. I am a Registered Social Worker with 6 years experienced working in the field, Mental Health, Oranga Tamariki, and a Pasifika Community Developer in East Auckland. I offer external supervision and cultural supervision to help practitioners grow and thrive. I'm passionate about creating a safe space for everyone to reflect, learn and connect with their practice.

My Approach

The framework that I incorporate into my supervision model is about - Respecting each others values beliefs Reflection is important for you to be focused and grounded Spirituality and solution focused I am a fun, loving, caring Pasifika woman who is ready to support/tautoko walk alongside you with this kaupapa. Each session is never boring or the same. I offer supervision at the beach, at a cafe, walk and talk or online. I am very flexible as a social worker I have to ready for anything that will come my day on a daily basis with work.
