My Approach

I approach supervision from a holistic and reflective practice lens, ensuring that all aspects of my work—professional, cultural, emotional, and personal—are considered and aligned. My practice is grounded in kaupapa Māori values, where I recognise the importance of wairua, hinengaro, tinana, and whānau in both my own wellbeing and in the work I do alongside others. Reflection is a key part of how I engage in supervision. I come prepared to openly explore my decision-making, challenges, and growth areas, while also acknowledging successes. This reflective space allows me to continually strengthen my practice, maintain accountability, and ensure I am working in a way that is ethical, responsive, and mana-enhancing for those I support. I also use supervision as an opportunity to strengthen my connection with services and systems. Working in reintegration requires strong collaboration, and I value guidance that helps me navigate partnerships, improve interagency relationships, and advocate effectively for whānau. I aim to ensure that the support I provide is well-connected, accessible, and responsive to the wider needs of those engaging with services. Overall, I see supervision as a space for growth, guidance, and alignment—supporting me to lead with integrity, cultural awareness, and a continued commitment to holistic well-being I am avaliable via AVL, phone or can arrange a time where you can come to me. 😊
